Consumer review of Windows 8: Consumer Preview

After using latest version of Microsoft windows i.e. windows 8, following are my views on it :

Things that i liked most:

A new user interface namely Metro UI which has start screen similar to windows phone 7.
It already has drivers for dedicated GPUs which was missing in windows 7. But for better graphics, you still need to install drivers provided by manufacturers.
Windows explorer has ribon toolbar similar to toolbar found in microsoft office suite and most other latest microsoft's products.
Say bye to windows media player. It has a whole new music player and video player app, similar to zune on windows phone 7 and above.
Better multitasking and app switching options.
Apps are displayed with tiles in the start menu and start button is not displayed.
Windows 8 also have support for USB 3.0. Data Transfer Speed, while copying data stayed normally above 70 MB/s, on using external HDD.
Now you don't need a third-party software to open ISO, IMG or VHD files, Windows Explorer can now mount ISO, IMG, and VHD files as virtual drives through simple right-clicks.

Things that i didn't liked:

The new desktop environment of windows 8 is a little bit complex to use. You would not get some things at first. As for example, it will take normally more than 2 minutes to find the button to shut down windows!! Some apps found in earlier version of windows by default are removed in windows 8. The internet explorer in windows 8 is still laggy as in earlier version of windows.
As the version is still beta, there are several problems in it like app switching using windows+tab key doesn't work sometimes, color scheme errors, some updates won't install etc.
Overall it's performence is better as compared to earlier versions of windows.
