Well I don't agree that this thing really exists as we see most of the children behave like this. Their behaviour is due to the people around with whom they are living. We make them feel by saying them that they are suffering from such kind of disease. I don't mean to say that there is no such thing like ADHD but it's not epidemic. Children didn't pay attention in studies because they like other things like playing video games, watching television etc. Studying has became a boring stuff for children. Many harmful drugs are given to the children to get them focus and calm them down. As children are taking studies as a boring stuff and don't pay any attention, the rate of ADHD is increasing. All this is due to our current education system. It's getting boring. All students are taught only one thing in school that- "If you have a degree, then you have a job, so study hard and get good marks." If we talk about the behave of students currently in the school, then almost 95% children show the symptoms of ADHD. So does it mean that we are to be medicated so that we can pay attention? The way of teaching must be changed to make their interest in studies rather than medicating children. We are getting children through education by anaesthetising(anaesthatic- Shut your senses off and deaden yourself to what's happening) them. Please everyone give your views about it.
